The product
Is the key lock box secure?
Yes. It is made from a full zinc-alloy body with two-layer construction that resists prying, hammering, and impact better than thin aluminum boxes. The 4-digit combination gives 10,000 possible codes.
Is it weatherproof for outdoor use?
Yes. It is built for outside use and stands up to rain, sun, and temperature changes. The QR code is laser-engraved into the metal, so it will not fade or peel like a sticker.
How many keys does it hold?
Up to 5 keys, plus room for small items like an access card or key fob.
The digital guest guide
How does the free digital guide work?
Inside the package is a unique activation card. You scan the QR code on the box, enter the card code, create your free account, and add WiFi, check-in times, house rules, and local tips. Guests scan the same QR code and see the guide instantly.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and the guide opens in their browser.
Can I edit my guide after setting it up?
Yes. You can update your guidebook anytime from the dashboard, and changes go live instantly.
Is the digital guide really free?
Yes. Every box includes a free lifetime guide for one property. If you manage several properties, you can add more under low-cost plans.
Ordering, shipping, and returns
Where do you ship?
HostShield ships worldwide from Latvia in the EU. Shipping costs and delivery times are shown at checkout and on the Shipping Policy page.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is EUR 4.90 within the EU, free over EUR 50, EUR 6.90 to the rest of Europe, and EUR 8.90 to the US and the rest of the world.
How long will delivery take?
Within the EU, delivery is usually 4-7 days. Outside the EU, it is usually around 10-14 days and can be longer for distant destinations.
Can I return it?
Yes. EU customers have 14 days to cancel an order. Faulty or incorrect items are covered for two years and returned at HostShield's cost.
